Please read these terms carefully before using our services. By accessing or enrolling with AUM, you agree to be bound by these terms.

These Terms & Conditions govern your relationship with the American University of Montana (AUM) and your use of our website, online learning platform, and academic services. By enrolling in any program or using our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms.
1 Acceptance of Terms
By accessing our website, submitting an application, or enrolling in any program offered by the American University of Montana, you agree to comply with and be legally bound by these Terms & Conditions.
If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use our services or enroll in our programs. These terms apply to all users, including prospective students, enrolled students, and visitors.
2 Enrollment & Registration
To enroll in any AUM program, you must:
- Meet the academic requirements for the selected program level
- Provide accurate and truthful information during the application process
- Submit all required documents as specified by the Admissions team
- Complete the enrollment process and pay the applicable fees
AUM reserves the right to reject any application or cancel any enrollment if false or misleading information is provided. Enrollment is confirmed only upon receipt of the enrollment confirmation from the Admissions team.
3 Tuition, Fees & Payment
All tuition fees and associated costs are communicated at the time of enrollment. By completing your enrollment, you agree to pay all applicable fees in accordance with the payment schedule provided.
- Tuition fees must be paid in full or according to the agreed installment plan before accessing course materials
- AUM accepts payment via major credit/debit cards and bank transfers
- All fees are quoted in US Dollars (USD) unless otherwise stated
- Late payments may result in temporary suspension of access to academic resources
- AUM reserves the right to adjust tuition fees with reasonable prior notice
4 Refund Policy
AUM's refund policy is designed to be fair to both students and the institution:
- Before program start: Full refund minus administrative fees
- Within the first 7 days of program start: 75% refund of tuition paid
- Within the first 14 days: 50% refund of tuition paid
- After 14 days: No refund is applicable
⚠️ Registration fees and administrative charges are non-refundable under any circumstances.
Refund requests must be submitted in writing to our admissions team. Approved refunds will be processed within 14 business days.
5 Academic Conduct & Integrity
AUM upholds the highest standards of academic integrity. All students are expected to:
- Submit original work that is their own creation
- Properly cite all sources and references used in academic work
- Refrain from plagiarism, cheating, or any form of academic dishonesty
- Treat fellow students, faculty, and staff with respect and professionalism
- Comply with all course requirements and deadlines
Violations of academic integrity may result in disciplinary action, including course failure or permanent expulsion from the program, at the sole discretion of AUM's academic committee.
6 Intellectual Property
All content provided through AUM's platform — including but not limited to lectures, course materials, videos, assessments, and written content — is the exclusive intellectual property of the American University of Montana.
- Students may not reproduce, distribute, or share course materials without written permission
- Recording of live sessions is prohibited without prior authorization
- Student-created academic work remains the property of the student, unless otherwise agreed in writing
AUM's name, logo, and branding elements are registered trademarks and may not be used without explicit written authorization.
7 Use of Platform & Services
By using AUM's online learning platform, you agree to:
- Use the platform solely for legitimate academic purposes
- Not attempt to hack, disrupt, or interfere with the platform's operation
- Not share your login credentials with any third party
- Not upload or distribute harmful, illegal, or offensive content
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations in your country of residence
AUM reserves the right to monitor platform usage to ensure compliance with these terms and to maintain the security and integrity of its services.
8 Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, AUM shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services, including but not limited to:
- Loss of data or academic progress due to technical issues
- Temporary unavailability of the platform due to maintenance or technical failures
- Decisions made by employers or institutions regarding AUM credentials
- Any reliance placed on information provided on our website
AUM's total liability for any claim shall not exceed the total tuition fees paid by the student for the relevant program.
9 Termination & Suspension
AUM reserves the right to suspend or terminate a student's enrollment or platform access under the following circumstances:
- Violation of these Terms & Conditions or academic integrity policies
- Non-payment of tuition fees after reasonable notice
- Conduct that is harmful to other students, staff, or the AUM community
- Provision of fraudulent documents or false information during enrollment
In cases of termination, the refund policy outlined in Section 4 will apply. Students have the right to appeal any termination decision in writing within 14 days.
10 Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Montana, United States of America. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Montana.
If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
11 Changes to These Terms
AUM reserves the right to update or modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. We will notify enrolled students of any significant changes via email or through the student portal. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
We encourage you to review these terms periodically. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the terms were most recently revised.
